A New School Year

Well, as we sit at the threshhold of our new school year, I feel excited! We marked the occasion with a "white board" cake. This year, we are going to primarily be utilizing Beyond Five in a Row Volume I, by Becky Jane Lambert, as well as some of the units in Five in a Row Volume IV. by Jane Claire Lambert. DS#1 will be in 5th grade and DS#2 will be in 2nd, so I think this will strike a good balance for the two of them. We used FIAR way back when DS#1 was in Kindergarten, and had such a good time doing it! I'm looking forward to lots of hands on activities and field trips- which are my favorite part of homeschooling, I think! So, here we go- it'll be an adventure!
