Busy Girls

The guys went hiking this week- and we had a few days of girls only... we had some fun school ,ate at McDonald's, played games, and watched some videos... we even baked brownies from SCRATCH! We didn't have a car, so we were slightly limited, but we still had a great time... Here are some of our accomplishments from this week...

We've begun reading the Read-Together Treasury of Bible Stories, and this week we read Noah's Ark... This book is amazing- for each story, on the left page, the story is written in prose that children love to hear, but may not yet be able to read on their own. The right page is written for the beginning reader, with a larger type, basic vocabulary and shorter, easier to read sentences. DD can read most of the words on those right hand pages, so she enjoys reading these with me.

Anyway, in conjunction with that, we completed the Noah's Ark Lapbook from Lapbook Lessons.

The cover with the door closed and opened...

Handwriting Practice, a coloring page and Bible Verse.
Counting by twos and a mini book on long o.

We also completed the All About Me Learn N Folder a freebie from Live & Learn Press.

Back and front covers- she chose the pictures for the collage...

Inside folders and activities...

A Poem All About Me (her)...

We had a good time, but we're happy to have our guys back... at least I am...
