Dad found this bird out in our dog run- we located the owner and he allowed DS#1 to keep him!! He was beside himself with joy! Our good friend is teaching him how to train the bird- and so far, he has three behaviors down- Big Wave, No, and Turn Around... .JPG)

OK-- all that being said, I couldn't pass up this great opportunity to use this new friend of ours for school! So, DS#1 began Live & Learn's A Learn 'N Folder Based on Birds . This was a fantastic challenge for DS#1! He knew a lot about birds, but not everything!! I haven't taken any pictures yet of his lap book, but it sure came out neat- with loads of information we can refer back to anytime we need it.
